The Water Authority Jordan is responsible for processing your personal data collected through the use of the Learning Management System (LMS) of the Water Training Center.

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable living individual. Various pieces of information that, taken together, can lead to the identification of a specific individual also constitute personal data.
Personal data is an important concern and demands special protection. Hence, we are disclosing the type of data that we collect and how we are using this data.
Purpose of data processing and legal basis
Registration
We start collecting and processing your personal data as soon as you register for the LMS. In order to provide the services of the LMS, we need a number of personal data. This includes your first and last name, your email address, your language preferences, and your country of residence.
In addition, you can upload a profile picture. We will only publish your picture if you give your consent in the system. You can revoke your consent at any time without giving any reason.
You can post messages in a forum and give feedback and ratings on courses. You can also send and receive messages from other learners and tutors. If you use these services, we will store this data.
If you need support, we will also store your support requests when you contact us.
Usage data
While using the Learning Management System (LMS), we collect additional data which we analyze anonymously. Anonymous data cannot be tracked down to individual users. With anonymous data it is impossible to identify an individual user. We analyze anonymous data to improve the usability of our service, e.g., by analyzing the device data or the operating system. We use other data, such as page views, to optimize our course offering
Cookies
Cookies are small text files. Cookies are stored on a user's device when a particular website is visited. Cookies allow a browser to be uniquely identified when a website is visited repeatedly.
We use cookies to log-in to Learning Management System (LMS). Certain elements of our website require the unique identification of a browser across different web pages. If cookies are disabled, log-in into the platform might not work. Other features of the platform might also not work full extent. In addition, we use cookies to optimize the user experience of the Platform. Moodle is open source and uses cookies to track the following data for each session
- device
- the operating system
- technical settings of the browser
- anonymous IP address
- date and time
- page viewed or file name.
Retraction of consent for data processing
You can retract your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time. If you wish to retract your consent, simply send us an email to ... with your name and date of birth. You do not have to state a reason for your retraction.
Data transfer and guarantee
LMS administrators and the trainers have limited access to your personal data. They can access data that is necessary for the implementation of the course they are managing.
We do not share your personal data with third parties.
Duration of storage
We store your data only for the period of time we need to provide you with the services of the Learning Management System (LMS). If you terminate your access to the LMS, we will retain your data for a further 12 months, unless there is legislation to the contrary. Exceptionally, certificates obtained through the LMS are kept for years. After this period, your personal data will be automatically deleted from our systems, unless legislation stipulates a different retention period.
We store your data just for the time period that we require to offer you the services of the Learning Management System (LMS). If you cancel your access at LMS, we keep your data for an additional 12 months unless there is a diverging legislation. After this period, your personal data will be automatically purged from our systems unless legislation requires us to keep your data for a diverging period.
Affected rights
You can request an overview of all data that we have collected from you at any time. You can also ask how we use your data. If your data should be incorrect, you can request a correction of your data. If you cancel your account at the LMS, you can also request the immediate deletion of your personal data form our system. You can also object to the processing of your personal data if you do not us to use your data anymore.
During the processing of your request for transparency, revocation or deletion you can request the restriction of your data processing. In this case, we store your data for the purpose of processing of your request.
